RJ West

About The Author

West has faced numerous challenges and setbacks throughout his life and career, notably grappling with obsessive compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety, and depression. While he has sought standard medical treatment, he discovered that writing poetry, song lyrics, and now story, serves as the most therapeutic outlet for him. The overarching theme of his poetry explores the journey from “soulless to solace.”

The story of “Zenu, The Blue Velo” emerged shortly after the passing of his beloved father, who profoundly influenced his life. This narrative serves not only as a tribute to his father but also to all those who have offered support and care throughout his journey. The main character, Zenu, embarks on a journey that mirrors Ahavos’s own life experiences, conveyed through the lens of fictional storytelling.

Ahavos holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Juris Doctor degree, experiences that, along with his reflection on his life upon turning 50, have enriched his understanding of human narratives and shaped his writing.

Determined to seek justice, Emilia turns to Billy Simms, a small-town lawyer with a history of standing up to powerful institutions. But taking on the police department is no easy fight. With a city against her, a police system designed to protect its own, and a truth buried beneath bureaucracy and corruption, Emilia must decide how far she’s willing to go, and what justice truly means.

Inspired by real events, Sue Blue is a gripping legal drama that pulls back the curtain on the relentless pursuit of justice in a world where the odds are stacked against the powerless. In the courtroom and beyond, this novel exposes the raw, messy, and often heartbreaking battle between truth and the forces determined to suppress it.

Will Emilia find the justice she seeks, or will the system claim yet another victim?
